PumpUp Name: @tauqilla
Current Location: Oakland, California
Favourite Workout Song: "In for the Kill" by La Roux (Skrillex Remix)
Mantra: No struggle, no progress... Let's get it!

Who are your top 3 favourite people to follow on PumpUp? What do you admire most about them?

@caitipoo421 – I admire that she is so honest about her journey. She just wants to "drink coffee, be sponsored by Nike, get paid to workout, and eat peanut butter." (one of her posts). She is a blonde bombshell!!

@elena_elise – I admire her consistency. She is very versatile with her meals and still has amazing results. She doesn't care to look like a super model, she wants to look like a super hero – The way she climbs the rock wall so easily, she is definitely is on her way to super heroism!

@builtfordtuff – I admire him because every time I see him try something new or increase the amount of weights that he lifts, I say "I can do that"(haha) although I really can't, but it encourages me to push harder!

What advice would you share with someone who’s looking to keep motivated?

I would advise others to take pictures, & measurements to measure progress if weight/fat loss is the goal. It is not always about the number on the scale. If you feel better, clothes fit better, others notice, etc then you are WINNING & should keep going until you are happy and satisfied.

What’s a new, healthy habit you’re working on?

One of my new healthy habits that I am working on is increasing colon health. The colon is the waste management system for the body and all of our organs, cells, and tissues depend on a healthy colon in order to perform efficiently. Because the liver is the organ of detoxification for the body, especially with cleansing the body of toxins and chemicals, I am focusing on superfoods that aid in digestion & assist my liver with functioning at optimal levels for a healthy lifestyle.

What's your favourite way to keep active?

Dancing. It does not even feel like a workout until the next morning when I feel like I have been ran over by a truck. Ayeee crank up the music & put your back into it!!!

What is a fitness or health goal that you're most proud of?

I would have to say the health goal that I am most proud of is changing my eating habits. I use to eat sweets after sweets after fast food and then a little more sweets. Being a medical professional, I learned to educate myself more because I could easily be one of the young patients in the emergency department suffering from a heart attack or diabetes. I taught myself to eat better instead of less. I decided to create healthy habits, and not restrictions. I also removed the word "diet" from my vocabulary.

What's your favourite thing about PumpUp? How has PumpUp helped you reach your fitness goals?

My favorite thing about PumpUp is the positivity and support from others. PumpUp has helped me reach my goals by watching others accomplish their goals. Sometimes seeing others remain consistent encourages me to do the same. It lets me know that it can be done.

What’s your post-workout fuel?

Shakeology smoothie or Barney's crunchy almond butter....YUMMY!

What makes you feel the most confident?

Knowing that I am not the same person mentally and physically that I was 1 year ago makes me feel the absolute most confident. I am excited to see my accomplishments in the next 6 months.

What advice would you give to someone new to the PumpUp community?

I would advise them to come on in, take a look around, & start PUMPingUp with the rest of the crew! There is so much motivation and inspiration within the community.
